Artistic Statement

At the heart of Hodari's artistic work are the values that connect people: community, care, and the power of human relationships. Through a sensitive visual language, he makes visible the often-overlooked acts that foster belonging, preserve hope, and strengthen cultural identity. His works explore resilience, compassion, and the pursuit of harmony, showing that true strength arises from understanding, respect, and solidarity. He is especially inspired by the possibility of connecting with people through art and using creativity as a source of hope, healing, and encouragement. Through his work with children at Art for Change Rwanda, he witnesses again and again how creative processes can build confidence, reveal potential, and bring about lasting positive change. His artistic practice is dedicated to promoting dignity, empathy, and a more compassionate society.
