Artistic Statement
Titus finds the inspiration for his paintings in fleeting moments of human togetherness – cooking, at the bar, in a restaurant, by the lake, or out in the city and nature. His works move between realistic representation and free interpretation. Everyday situations and still lifes serve as starting points for a painterly exploration of atmosphere, presence, colour, and degrees of abstraction.
About
After his early years as a licensed architect (ETH), Titus's professional path led him from architectural visualisation to animation film, where he ran a CGI studio producing commercial, industrial, product, and medical films. Painting as an analogue medium has always been an important creative counterbalance and continues to accompany his work.
